Girls Night

Here's us ladies at the New Moon midnight show last night. We went out a little early and got some snacks at Applebees, and then...the main event! I was so excited all day long and was not dissapointed. It was an awesome movie, 20 times better than the first (which wasn't too hard to do)!! I love having my girls to be able to go do fun stuff with, because Heaven only knows that I'd never get Nate to something like this! Thanks for the good time girlies!

One more day

I've only got one more day left of torture! As of about three o'clock tomorrow I'll be able to start eating all of the things I love again. I've been on the "low-iodine" diet since Halloween and I HATE it! There are few things in this life that I actually HATE, this is one of them. I get so cranky when I can't eat what I want...I feel like I don't have any control. The one thing I actually can still have is Dr. Pepper, so that is great. But tomorrow I'll be able to enjoy all the wonderful things that have been off-limits like dairy, pankcakes, cereal, seafood, store-bought bread, eggs, CHOCOLATE, and anything else I want! I hate to sound rediculous, but having to do this diet once a year has been the very worst part about getting cancer! The good news is, if this scan turns up negative, then I'll be able to skip a year! Yay! Sorry about all the venting, I'm just so glad it's almost over.

Here's some pictures that I took right before the Trunk or Treat last night. Zac was havin' a blast in his Super Why costume. And can anyone guess what Gabe is? I'll give you a hint, he's not a cat (which is what everyone thought he was).

So....you're telling me you don't like it?

There is no picture to go along with this post...thank goodness! I made potato salad last night (due to an over abundance of potatoes in the Pratt family), and fed it to the kids for dinner along with a hot dog. The second I set the potato salad down in front of Zac, he immediately scarfs it down. Gabe, on the other hand, was putting up a HUGE fight.

Me: "You have to have at least try just one bite if you want to have a cookie after dinner."
He licked it, and made face.
Gabe: "I tried it mom, and I don't like it."
Me: "You can't just lick it, Gabe, you have to actually EAT it."
He puts the bite in his mouth and is making wierd faces and gagging a little bit.
Me: "Oh Gabe, don't be dramatic, it's not that bad!"

I turn my head and hear a most impressive "SPLASH!" He actually THREW UP the potato salad! It wasn't a fun clean up, but I was trying not to laugh. This is definately a first in my house. My food actually making someone throw up because they hated it so bad! At least I know Zac appreciates my efforts.

Here is my next project! What is it with me? It seems like I've always got to be working on something. I'm going to sell these at my various boutiques. They are our family traditional stockings (with a few changes), and SO fun to make!

Hollie ROCKS!

My seriously AWESOME friend Hollie came over to test out her sweet new skillz on her sweet new camera the other day. Subject: my super cute boys! These pictures turned out so great. The kids were such hams. They kept telling her to take their picture over here, and over there, and then saying "CHEESE!" They just couldn't get enough! It was pretty funny.
